Fragment (made up of several pieces, fitted together). Rectangular panel, bordered by four narrow strips of plain linen cloth. Wool wefts; warps not visible. Two narrow compartments formed by narrow linen borders patterned with lines of shaded petals. Each compartment contains, on a cherry red ground, a standing human figure with a halo; woven with yellow, brown, green and red wool. Design shows Byzantine influence. Stains and incrustations; small holes.
