Warp of linen; ground of red wool; design in dark blue, red, green, yellow and brown wool and natural-colored linen. Fragment shows part of rectangular medallion framed by an area enclosing motifs of birds, round leaves, probably lotus plants, and a hare; part of a circular motif shows that the rectagular design originally enclosed a roundel. Design shows Byzantine influence.
