Fragment of sleeve from Noh theater costume (surihaku) of pale blue damask with woven interlocking hexagon pattern (kikkô-mon), bamboo, baby pine, crane; surface design of peonies, narcissus, camellias, and plums within snowflakes segments stenciled in silver; phoenix and paulownia motifs embroidered in shades of green and blue, scarlet and tan silk with the wings of the phoenix accented with couched gold-wrapped thread.
