DescriptionPale blue green coating, glaze much defaced. Cylindrical, the upper and under surfaces depressed. In the center was a rectangular channel. The whole length up and down showing fracture on each side. P Book P.5427 has "Disposed of Dec. 28, 1906". Found with faience objects given by the EEF: Eg.Inv.3577 to Eg.Inv.3595 and 02.770, 72.1418, and 88.1003, P.725 to P.824, P.4418 to P.8145.
ProvenanceFrom Egypt, Tell Gemayemi. 1887: excavated by the Egypt Exploration Fund; assigned to the EEF in the division of finds by the Egyptian government; voted to the MFA at EEF general meeting; sent over
