Fragment. Part of a tapestry ornament, applied to undyed linen tabby-woven ground. Polychrome wool and undyed linen wefts. Part of a roundel on a red ground. A representation of a human figure in one corner outside the roundel, stars, heart-shaped petals, and half rosette in red, light and dark green and yellow wool and undyed linen. Triple border on roundel; pattern indistinct, as is pattern inside roundel. Much wool rotted out. Holes and breaks; stains. Design is similar to 55.1044.
