Fragment. An oval medallion from a tapestry is applied to an undyed tabby-woven linen ground; a small band at one end of the medallion suggests that it was the end part of a shoulder band (clavus). A stylized blossom or a plant motif is inside the medallion. The ground in the medallion is in red wool and the design is in yellow, red and dark brown and natural-colored linen. The design of the border consists of connected oval-shaped motifs flanked by small white circles; the ground color of the border is in dark brown wool and the design is in yellow wool and natural-colored linen.The ground Colored wools are partly rotted out. Ground stained and frayed.
