Part of a tapestry band, applied to an undyed linen tabby-woven ground. A human bust with a haloed head is in an oval medallion framed by a square in the center of the band; plant motifs (?) on a green area are below the central square. Narrow red borders show fish motifs. Design is woven in green, red and yellow wool and natural colored linen. The wool wefts are mostly rotted out; the linen wefts and most of the warp remain. Darkened and badly stained. Probably a sleeve band.
