Fragment. Irregularly shaped piece, made up of several small fragments. Warp of linen; wefts of wool and linen. Several compartments, containing human figures, animals, birds or floral motifs, separated by narrow borders decorated with a row of single petals; an image of a crowned woman carrying a child, probably the Virgin Mary, is in a roundel in the lower half of the fragment and a haloed female saint is in a band on the right. Compartment grounds are red, blue and white; figures are of these colors plus yellow and other shades of blue. Many stains and holes.
