Sewed on to a piece of natural colored linen is a small round medallion woven with pink, green, dark blue and yellow wool. In the middle is a pink circle with a basket of fruit on it, on each of the four sides is a yellow circle enclosing a walking bird; between the outer circles and radiating from the middle ones are conventional flowers. The whole is held in by a pink band that follows the outline of the design. The small size of the medallion (5.3 x 4 cm.) suggests that this is probably a fragment of a child’s garment.
