DescriptionGround: loosely-woven natural linen gauze (in cloth weave). Stained at edges hole in center. Design: tapestry band of yellow silk Kufic characters (.048 high); very formal; tall letters decorated with scrolls in intaglio. Inscription complete at left. Inscription: "el Hakim billah..There is no god but Allah. (Son of) El 'Aziz billah." See note.
