DescriptionThese four fragment represent the greater portion of the tray. Small portions are missing. One side is covered with a rilled spiral grooves, while the opposite side shows no rilling. The tray does not sit flat, rather it is somewhat warped. It is one of four excavated together, some of which were fragmentary.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, grave 1900, debris. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
