Circular medal of Francesco Morosini (1618-94), doge of Venice. Beaded rim on both sides.

Obverse: Morosini at proper left, wearing hooded robe, kneeling before standing Saint Mark at proper right; both have hand on central staff; inscribed above Doge “D/V/X” and at proper right “·/S/·/M/·/V/E/N/E/T” and proper left “FRAN·MAVEROC”.

Reverse: Haloed lion of Saint Mark, rampant at center, with palm in his left paw and cross in his right paw; inscribed in band at edge “FIDES ET VICTORIA”.

Inscription

Obverse: Inscribed above Doge "D/V/X" and at proper right "·/S/·/M/·/V/E/N/E/T" and proper left "FRAN·MAVEROC".

Reverse: Inscribed in band at edge "FIDES ET VICTORIA".
