Circular medal of Frederick II (1717-1786), king of Prussia, commemorating his victory near Prague (1757) during The Seven Years’ War.
Obverse: Profile bust of Frederick looking to proper left, wearing armor; inscribed at edge “FRIDERICVS MAGN·D·G·REX BORVSS EL·BRAND·DVX SILES ET”.
Reverse: Winged, female personification at center with lightning bolts extending from her right hand over kneeling female (Empress Maria Theresa) at proper right; spolia with inscriptions at proper left (shield too worn to read); inscribed at edge “FAMA·PRUDENTIA·VIRTVTE”, on spolia “ABLISI” and “MOLDA”, and in exergue “AVSTREXERC·PROPE·PRAG·TVNDIT/CAESO ET PRAGA·OBSESSA·/VI·MAJI·MDCCLVII”.
