DescriptionCircular medal.

Obverse: Neptune and Mercury with symbols stand above three demi-horses with forefeet fins; inscribed at edge "DE ZEE IS VRIJ DE KOOPHANDEL HERLEEFT" (hearldic devices separate words).

Reverse: Winged female standing amid flowers and two inscribed scrolls, holding inscribed banner across body; on banner "ONAFHANKELIJHEID", in proper right scroll "1813", and in proper left scroll "1913".
