DescriptionFront has solid yellow ground with large central eight-pointed star made up of paralellogram-shaped pieces. This type of star pattern is known as "Lone Star" or "Star of Bethlehem". In each corner of the front of the quilt is a small eight-pointed star, each with a portrait in the center. Two feature Chester A. Arthur and say: "Chester A. Arthur, Republican Candidate for Vice President", and two feature James A. Garfield and say: "James A. Garfield, Republican Candidate for President". Multi-color fabric makes up the stars in prints such as florals, stripes and plaids. Dominant colors in the stars are red, brown, white, beige, and gray. Yellow and red floral backing. No border.
