Obverse: Heraldic device at center, consisting of corwned horsehead-shaped shield, framed by a wreath; inscribed in Latin in beaded band at edge.

Reverse: Seated woman, rays behind head, placing sleeping child into a craddle; inscribed in Italian in band at edge in exergue.

Obverse: Inscribed at edge "RICORDO AI BENEFATTORI".

Reverse: Inscribed at edge "*PIA ISTITVZIONE PROVVIDENZA BALIATICA" and in exergue "JOHNSON".
