Gift cover (fukusa) with design of two lacquer boxes and braided cord ties containing painted shells (kai-oke) embroidered in red, green, blue, brown, white and black silk and gold metallic thread on a dark blue satin ground; reddish-orange silk crepe (chirimen) backing and red silk tassels at each corner.
