Obverse: Profile bust of Giuseppe Garibaldi looking to proper right, with long hair and a beard and wearing a hat; inscribed at edge “GIUSEPPE GARIBALDI”.

Reverse: Standing female (possibly Athena or Minerva) holding spear in right hand and a shield in left; no legend.
