DescriptionThis large globular (almost spherical) jar has a rounded base, a very short straight neck and straight unworked rim. The exterior retains traces of a red wash.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Meroitic cemetery, grave 17. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
