DescriptionThis symmetrical globular, almost spherical jar has a rounded base, no neck, and a rolled rim. Just below the rim the upper portion of the body has been decorated with three lines between two zigzag lines, all of which are rendered by very light stippling. There is a prominent crack in one side of the jar, but it is otherwise intact.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery N, grave 51. 1916: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
