DescriptionThis globular jar has very slight, high-set shoulders and a base that comes to a rounded point. A concave neck ends with a slightly rolled rim. The exterior has been treated with a red wash that shows signs of polishing.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery B, grave 34. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
