Etched on bowl and base, with blue handles; very thin.


Making clear glass was a challenge, but Venice’s glassmakers were famous for their skill. Heating and then manipulating molten ingredients including soda, ash, and lime, they were able to create exquisitely light and clear glass that enhanced the visual experience of drinking.
