DescriptionA three-column broadside describing the life, trial, and execution of King Charles I of England. The image (printed separately) shows the moment of execution itself, in front of the Banqueting Hall, at Whitehall. The image is closely related to one on a broadside in the British Museum, though the MFA's version shows no angelic intercession. Other examples of the broadside are held by the Staatsbibliothek in Berlin (Einbl. YA 8188 m) and the Universitätsbibliothek in Munich (0014/W 4 Hist. 1188).
