DescriptionItalian, 18th Century, half of chasuble, probably the back. Two pieces of cream colored satin, seamed vertically. Symmetrical pattern showing rocaille and foliate scrolls interspersed with flowering stalks and garlands, painted in many colors. Satin worn in places; a few holes and breaks. Many small brown stains, particularly near bottom. Lined with coarse linen.
