Hand candlestick, cast, with a circular pan with molded rim and flat circular base and a banded nozzle. Curved handle has a base of cast foliage giving way to reeding. End of handle is vertically reeded and engraved with a coat of arms.

Markings

Maker: his second mark, a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, CD, a moon (Dennis, 108). Warden's Mark: 1732-1733: a crowned Q (Dennis, 257). Charge Mark: 1732-1738: a crowned A (Dennis, 257). Discharge Mark: for small work, 1732-1738: a dog's head (Dennis, 258). Other: Guarantee mark used after 1838 for medium-sized works: a small boar's head (Tardy, p.173)
