DescriptionHand candlestick, cast with a shaped circular pan with a banded rim and a thin, flat circular base. Octagonal vase shaped nozzle has a detachable circular bobeche with a reeded rim. Handle has a straight stem with a foliate base and ascrolled terminal.
InscriptionsMaker's Mark: IL / DVR / AN, a pellet between the I and the L, there appears to be some question as to whether this mark is that of Duran, so there is doubtas to where it is from, probably Limoux. Other: a small LHF; Guarantee mark u sed after 1838 for medium sized works: a small boar's head (Tardy, p. 173).
