Flemish, Mechlin, second half 19th century. Handkerchief; sheer white linen center, deep outer border of bobbin lace in twisting ribbon design flanked by minute stylized flowers, inner narrow border of bobbin lace in design of mintue rosette-like flowers, in one corner an embroidered elaborate monogram; linen center full of pin pricks and several holes.
