Vertical handle: volutes in relief at top, five pearl-beads beyond holes for attachment left and right, stem with leaves to middle of handle, all terminating at the bottom in open-work design, resembling conventional ivy leaf. Horizontal handles: terminations at the bases in same kind of ivy leaf. Even green patina.
By 1899: with E. P. Warren (according to Warren's records: Bought in Corinth but probably from Palaeopolis.); purchased by MFA from E. P. Warren, 1899, for $ 32,500.00 (this is the total price for MFA 99.338-99.542)
