Embroidered handscreen. Polychrome silk and gilt-silver yarns in design of penies, pomegranates and characters symbolizing longevity embroidered in Peking stitch on tan patterned silk over stiff foundation; green figured silk binding; tan patterned silk over stiff form at handle (obverse). Dark green jade handle with character on obverse; light green jade thumbpiece with bird, edged with purple silk cord on reverse. Orange double tassel with green knitted cord depends from handle.
