Head of a female figurine. The nose and chin have been modelled in the clay while the eyes and details of the hair or wig are incised, and originally with filled with a white paste. There is a shallow circular depression on the underside where it seems to have been attached to something, possibly the body of the figure.

Provenance

Kubban. (ASN 110/224 and 110/15). 1911: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; awarded to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
