This head from a small statue of a young warrior is hollow cast, with a vent or pour hole above the forehead. The point of the cap or helmet is missing. Greenish, brown patina.

By 1886: with Edward Perry Warren (according to Warren's records: Bought in Athens 1886. Said to have come from Sparta); 1895: purchased by MFA from Edward Perry Warren for $ 29,857.37 (this figure is the total price for MFA 95.9-95.174)
