Rectangle with embroidery seamed to tapered ties at each end. Plain woven cotton ground embroidered with polychrome silks and gilt silver yarns mainly in double darning stitch. Design of elaborate vase and plant forms flanked by 2 mermaid-like creatures. Simple bobbin lace trimming in gilt silver yarns on lower edge of rectangle. Linen yellowed with a few purple and brown stains. One tie has a small hole. Silks faded. Most of gilt gone.
