DescriptionBronze helmet with "lightning flash" insignia and vertical raised band terminating in a dragon's head on front. Three horizontal raised bands at rim.
Provenance1981, sold by Mohammad Yeganeh (dealer; b. 1929 - d. 2012), Frankfurt, to the MFA [see note]. (Accession Date: February 11, 1981)

NOTE: MFA accession nos. 1980.276 and 1980.277, and 1981.25 were said to have been found together in the Lake Van region of eastern Anatolia (tomb of Ishpuini?).
