This is a fairly small, wide, and shallow hemispherical bowl that is treated with creamy white slip on both interior and exterior. The exterior of the rim is painted with a thin line of dark brown paint. The interior is decorated with a fairly symmetrical design, also in dark brown paint, consisting of straight and wavy lines and circles with a central dot.
From Nuri, Pyramid 25 (tomb of Queen(?) Maletaral II). 1917: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
