White figure group of Hercules and Omphale. On irregular flat unglazed base with two large square holes for hollow group. Hercules seated on plinth with drapery held by shoulder strap. Omphale standing. From engraving by Laurent Cars after painting of 1724 by Francois Lemoyne in the Louvre.
