Description(Antwerp: Joannes Galle, about 1635-1640) Oblong folio; 35 leaves; modern gilt-stamped half green morocco, green marbled paper boards (green cloth box).

Views of formal gardens and surrounding architecture. A later edition of Vredeman de Vries's series first published in 1583 (including at that time only 20 plates). Philip Galle acquired the plates and added fourteen more; the set was then published by his son Joannes, dated in Hollstein to 1635-40. The plates numbered 29-34 are given to Pieter van der Borcht.
