DescriptionThis black-topped redware jar has very slight shoulders, a base that comes to a rounded point, and an unworked rim. Incised lines applied to the surface may be a potmark or possibly decoration representing stylized botanical motif.
ProvenanceFrom Nubia (Egypt). Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government.
