DescriptionIncised, blackware globular jar; narrow neck, rolled everted rim. Incised band below the neck, and the body of the vessel features an incised banded pattern apportioned into large triangular areas. Complete; decayed patch on side.
ProvenanceFrom Gammai, Nubia (Sudan), Mound T, debris, object #R2. 1915-6: excavated by Oric Bates & Dows Dunham for the Harvard Peabody Museum; 1916: assigned to Oric Bates in the division of finds with the Sudanese government; Sept. 4, 1924: given to the MFA by Mrs. Oric Bates.
