DescriptionFrame, soundboard grills, neck, headstock, and bridge of epoxy/graphite composite. Two-piece frame assembles at center with keyhole joining plate. Neck attaches to frame with metal spline in groove. Headstock (with strings already attached to tuning machines and bridge) attaches to neck with two metal rods inserted in holes. Schaller-brand "Mini" tuning machines. Fingerboard of phenolic impregnated plys of birch with twenty-two frets of metal alloy. Bridge (with Fishman-brand piezo pickup) hooks into soundboard grills. Strings brought to tension with cam lever on back of headstock. Shell of denim attaches to rim of body with Velcro; balloon of Mylar inside inflates with nozzle of polyethylene, stopped with 260-caliber rifle bullet. Instrument disassembles for storage in attaché-type case; includes pre-amp, tuner, and tools.
