DescriptionThis ivory object may be a small cross-bar from the back of a chair. Its form is a heavy rectangular bar with a square peg on each of the short ends for joining. One inner surface has depression from wear. A reference to this item considers it "from a different type of bed to those in grave or from a chair, probably intrusive." Thus, a chair was most likely broken and dispersed over the site of discovery. For very similar pieces excavated from other locations see objects 13.4161, 20.1525.
