This is a jar stand, symmetrical in shape, of blackware. Incised line decoration has been added over most of the exterior surface with patterns ranging from bands of lines and hatching to hatched diamond and triangle shapes.

Provenance

From Dakka (ASN 101/86). 1910. Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government.
