Jar made of rough, light clay. The edges are modeled to represent a cow. The base is flat. The shape is uneven. It is broken and mended. Part of the top is missing.

Provenance

Said to be from Naqada. 1903: purchased for the MFA from Mohamed Mohassib, Luxor, Egypt by Albert M. Lythgoe for 3 shillings. Acquired with funds from the Emily Esther Sears Fund. (Accessioned on: January 1, 1903)
