The straight-handle spoon has engraved lines that follow and outline the contours of its handles. The arrow-shaped end is pierced to enclose an engraved bunch of grapes.

“Stone [with profile of incuse chasing hammer across St] / STERLING / B [sideways]” struck on back of handle.

Provenance

Arthur and Elizabeth Bent Stone estate to their companion Annie E. Priest; by descent to Alma Bent, Stone’s cousin, from whom the Museum purchased the piece.
