Four curved strips of steel welded together to form an X shape. The upper portions of the two back strips curve back at the tips and have ball finials. The lower strips and the lower section of the upper strips are supported by steel strips welded at right angles on the reverse. The lower strips meet at a point and are welded to a flat strip bridging a circular base. The entire chairis covered with gold leaf.
