DescriptionCircular medal of Joachim Murat (1767-1815), king of Naples and Sicily and married to Caroline Bonaparte, from the "Médaillier Genéral des Hommes Illustres Célèbres ou Fameux Anciens et Modernes". Hanging ring at top.

Obverse: Encased in glass, profile bust of Joachim Napoleon looking to proper right; inscribed at edge "JOACHIM NAPOLEON ROI DE NAPLES ET DE SICILE".

Reverse: Inscribed "MÉDAILLIER/GENÉRAL/DES HOMMES ILLUSTRES/CÉLÈBRES OU FAMEUX/ANCIENS ET MODERNES/COMMENCÉ EN 1801/PAR P.G. LIENARD/A PARIS.".
