DescriptionPear-shaped, scroll handle, with leaf overlay. molded top rim terminating at spout. Circular base. Crest over coat-of-arms.
InscriptionsMARKS: on the underside of the body, maker's mark WB with a pellet between in a shaped shield (sim to Grimwade 3014 but not convincing); lion passant; leopard's head crowned; date letter U (1775/6).
ARMORIALS: engraved on the front of the jug, the arms of Haywood or Heywood (looks early 19th cent. in style).
