DescriptionThis statuette of Zeus would have held a scepter-staff in his raised left hand. His thunderbolt served as a support for the lowered right hand. Left arm, left leg from just below the knee, and right foot are missing. The eyes have the remains of silver inlay. The rear half of the thunderbolt is preserved in the right hand. Brown patina with green spots.
