月日欄既入力・興行年表・次興行「仮名手本忠臣蔵」辻番付の口上中の記述共に「07・17」とする。が、口上では「例年六月は暑にも相成候故相休候得ども当年は御贔屓厚ク被成下候ゆへ又々六月初メ方より浄留理狂言を取組掛御目に申候様にと御贔屓御連中様方より御指図により取あへず夏祭の狂言を差出□所当年は別而暑気も甚敷御座候に付依之来ル十七日より右夏祭リ狂言取組掛ヶ御目申候」とあり、6月と解釈することも可能ヵ。

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States. Bigelow deposited many of these objects at the MFA in 1890 before donating them to the Museum's collection at later dates.
