DescriptionIrish, Carrickmacross, mid 19th century. Woman's lace cap, arranged in rows alternately plain net and lace with rosette and three-dot motives, flounce at back of neck in sprig design edging of bobbin lack across forehead band, ties of net edged with narrow machine made lace.
