The ladle has a deep oval bowl that is raised from sheet and joined to a long tapering cylindrical stem formed from seamed sheet.

Inscription

Engraved on underside in monogram "AGE".

Markings

On side of bowl, Britannia; maker's mark FA (Grimwade 662); lion's head erased (repeated on underside of stem); date letter i.
